Thanks!
Thanks for downloading a copy of VBWin Programmer's Magazine.
Advanced Instructions
This magazine is in a standard Windows helpfile format. You can use file
manager to click on the filename, VBWM9410.HLP. Use the search
button on the toolbar to alphabetize the 2400 topics. When you find
one that you want to read, use the browse buttons to read the replies.
That's all there is to it!
Beginner Instructions
A Windows helpfile is used by programmers to convey more information
or 'help' about certain aspects of a program's use or features.
This magazine is based on the exact same principles as any standard
Windows helpfile. The text underlined in green are 'topics' that you
can view by clicking on the words. When you're over grren text, the cursor
changes from an arrow to a hand. That lets you know when you're over a topic.
After you click on the green words, you'll 'jump' to the 'topic' that
corespondes to that topic. You can search through nearly 2400 topics
by clicking on the 'search' button on the toolbar. In the top text box
you can type subjects that you are trying to find. The search function
will go search through the magazine going to the right places in the file.
Example: You start out by typing 's'. The bottom list box will scroll down
to the fist occurence of a topic beginning with a 's'. It will continue
searching through the file for the second letter you type, etc. Once you
found a topic that you want to read, double click on it and it will appear
in the bottom text box. Click on the 'goto' button and that topic will pop
up on your screen. If there were any responses to that message, use the
browse buttons '<<' or '>>'. '<<' moves back one message and '>> moves ahead
one message. That's all there is to it!
Enjoy this month's issue! Remember, I don't answer my Compu$erve e-mail.
I will only reply via internet.
